Why We Built This

Information about CPSUs — their Ratna classification, sector, turnover, and role in the economy — is scattered across dozens of individual government and company websites, annual reports, and press releases. This site brings the key facts together in one place: a quick-reference directory, sector breakdown, and running log of PSU news, so students, researchers, job-seekers, and investors don't have to hunt across a dozen tabs.

What This Site Is Not

cpsuindia.org is not an official Government of India website and is not operated by the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE), DIPAM, or any CPSU. We don't process applications, complaints, or transactions on behalf of any government body. For official business — RTI requests, grievances, tenders, recruitment — please use the relevant CPSU's or ministry's own official website, several of which we link to from our footer.

How We Source Our Data

Figures such as Ratna status, sector classification, incorporation year, and headquarters are compiled from publicly available sources, including the DPE's Public Enterprises Survey, DIPAM, individual CPSU annual reports, and official press releases. Aggregate figures (like total turnover or employee counts) are approximate and periodically refreshed — always cross-check figures that matter to you against the primary government source before relying on them, as noted in our Terms of Use.
